I’ve always loved the color purple. Right from my school days.
We had four houses in school, St.Josephs – Purple St.Marys – Blue St.Savios – Yellow St.Gorettis – Red
I was in the St.Joseph’s group... the purple group in my school. Those days it was just an obsession of group colors. Since 1st, all the way through my 10th, I was in the same house.
But as I entered high school, the fixation of the color being just a faction color faded. I started relating to the color purple in more ways. I explored the different hues of the color. Dark, deep shades of purple I loved. Dark purple fascinated me... it does even now. Light shades seemed a kind of weakness to me... a dependency... whereas deep purple, the darker hues felt supreme. I came across more info about the color purple a few years ago... I type them out here in the next few lines...
Royalty and Spirituality: Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality. The opposites of hot red and cool blue combine to create this intriguing color. Nature of Purple: Purple has a special, almost sacred place in nature: lavender, orchid, lilac, and violet flowers are often delicate and considered precious. Because purple is derived from the mixing of a strong warm and strong cool color it has both warm and cool properties. A purple room can boost a child's imagination or an artist's creativity. Too much purple, like blue, could result in moodiness. Deep or bright purples suggest riches while lighter purples are more romantic and delicate. Use redder purples for a warmer color scheme or the bluer purples to cool down.
On taking an online test on which shade of purple I am, I got the result stating that “Iris or dark purple” was mine. Also, I got this “You are Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving.”
Introvert yes, I am (in real life). The same goes for being a shrewd and a sensitive person.
So, in short, I LOVE PURPLE!!!
While we're on the subject, being an Aquarian, my birthstone happens to amethyst..
